This research method uses a quantitative approach and the Quasi-Experiment method with a Non-equivalent Control Group Design research design. The sample used in this study was 35 students of class X.1 as the experimental class and 35 students of class X.3 as the control class—sampling using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used parametric statistics, with the T-test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference in student learning concentration between the control class and the experimental class in Islamic Religious Education subjects at State Senior High School 10 Pekanbaru, t_count is greater than t_table, which is 3.987> 1.667 and Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, then H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. It has been proven that ice-breaking affects students' concentration in learning.
2025-04-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Absorbent Mindhttps://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/absorbent_mind/article/view/6671The Role of Parents as Role Models in Children's Moral Education2025-04-23T06:58:21+00:00Emilia Fitri Harahapemiliahrp27@gmail.comKhairunnisa KhairunnisaEmiliahrp27@gmail.comNabila AramintaEmiliahrp27@gmail.comMasganti SitorusEmiliahrp27@gmail.com
This study aims to analyse the role of parents as role models in moral education for children, especially in forming character and moral behaviour from an early age. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study relies on primary data obtained through interviews with parents and secondary data from literature studies and related documents. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation and in-depth interviews with subjects who were parents of children in early childhood. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by examining the patterns of parental roles and providing examples of noble morals. The study results showed that parental behaviour greatly influences children's moral development; children tend to imitate the actions and attitudes of their parents, both positive and negative. The success of this process is primarily determined by religious knowledge, the quality of interaction within the family, and collaboration with a positive educational and social environment. This confirms that parental exemplarity is the primary foundation in children's moral education.
2025-04-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Absorbent Mindhttps://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/absorbent_mind/article/view/5075The Effectiveness of a Psychological Counseling Program on Developing Future Optimism Among Students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Zakho University2025-04-23T05:28:15+00:00Musab Mohammed Abdullahmusab.abdullah@uoz.edu.krdJehan Hussein Omarmusab.abdullah@uoz.edu.krdSafad Mudhafar Mohammedmusab.abdullah@uoz.edu.krd
The current study aimed to identify the level of future optimism among students of the College of Education, specializing in Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and to determine the significance of differences based on certain demographic variables (gender, residence, marital status). Additionally, the study aimed to construct a psychological counseling program for the sample individuals. This research is quantitative. The study population included all fourth-year students of the morning session at the College of Education - Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Zakho University, totaling 39 students. The sample was chosen purposively, representing 31% of the total population. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using the Wilcoxon non-parametric test and the Mann-Whitney U test. The results indicated a low level of future optimism, with no significant differences observed in the sample attributed to demographic variables or the effectiveness of the psychological counseling program. Based on the findings, recommendations and suggestions were presented at the study's conclusion.
2025-04-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Absorbent Mindhttps://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/absorbent_mind/article/view/6856Benefits of Vestibular Exercises Affecting Performance in Early Childhood2025-04-23T05:23:35+00:00Heidi Claassenshclaassens@cut.ac.za
Specifically will explore the effects of vestibular exercises on sensory and motor systems, as well as emotional and social regulation, which impact the performance of early childhood learners. This qualitative study is grounded in the constructivist paradigm, involving the participation of eight Grade 1 learners, eight Grade 2 learners, and eight Grade 3 learners in South Africa. Additionally, three parents completed weekly observation sheets to monitor the learners' performance. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires and observations. The result shows that vestibular exercises serve as a relay, transferring signals to other sensory systems, which then convey them to the motor system. This interconnected process is likely to impact scholastic performance positively. By framing this within the social model theory, we recognize the importance of creating an inclusive environment where all learners can engage in these exercises. This model emphasizes the role of societal structures in enabling or restricting participation, highlighting that providing access to vestibular exercises can reduce barriers and promote equal developmental opportunities. Hence, it can be concluded that vestibular exercises benefit developmental areas in early childhood, thereby influencing academic performance. Through the social model theory lens, this underscores the importance of inclusive practices that support all learners in reaching their full potential.
2025-04-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Absorbent Mindhttps://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/absorbent_mind/article/view/6940The Application of Technology-Enhanced Learning in the Development of Islamic Religious Education in Early Childhood2025-04-23T07:01:40+00:00Sulastri Sulastripejuangpendidikanmu@gmail.comIsmail Ismailismail@isimupacitan.ac.id
This qualitative descriptive study explores the use of Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) in the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for early childhood at PAUD Diantara Putro Melati Kasihan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Data were collected through learning observations utilizing educational applications, animated videos, and interactive stories; in-depth interviews with the principal, PAI teachers, and parents; and documentation of technology-based policies and materials. The analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, narrative presentation, triangulation verification) to produce a comprehensive picture. The results showed that digital media—animated stories of the prophets and interactive applications—increased interest, understanding of Islamic values, and social interaction via Google Classroom and Zoom. Regular exposure to technology-based religious content also strengthened positive characters such as politeness and helping each other. However, limited devices, uneven internet access, and the potential for gadget addiction require close collaboration between schools and parents so that the use of technology is balanced and supports future PAI goals. The implementation of TEL has proven effective in developing PAI for early childhood.
2025-04-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Absorbent Mind
