The urgency of this study arises because of the high prevalence of PMO among adolescents in Indonesia and the need for an approach that is integrated with Islamic values. The methodology involves the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and qualitative analysis to integrate Islamic communication principles and assess their effects on student behavior. The results of the study indicate that the Islamic communication model is effective in reducing PMO behavior, with the Interpersonal Psychotherapy Model (IPM) ranking the highest in effectiveness, followed by the Interpersonal Communication Model (ICM), Digital Campaign Model (DCM), Collaborative Group Discussion (CGD), Problem-based Learning (PL), and Islamic Lecture-based Instructional Model (ILIM). This approach reduces PMO incidents and supports students' emotional and spiritual growth. Based on these results, this study recommends a broader integration of the Islamic communication model in Islamic universities' curricula and extracurricular activities. It aims to enhance preventive education and support students in developing better psychosocial and spiritual health. This study also proposes further integration of Islamic communication models in the curriculum and extracurricular activities to develop a more holistic and in-depth preventive education. Thus, this study provides new insights into the effectiveness of value-based communication approaches in education and broadens the understanding of the adaptation of value-based education in addressing sensitive issues in higher education environments.
2025-06-12T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Achyar Zeinhttps://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/adabiya/article/view/5822Perspektif Dalang Mbah Demang dalam Upaya Meraih Kesejahteraan Masyarakat dan Pembangunan yang Berkelanjutan 2024-10-03T13:25:25+00:00Vanisa Nakita Purwandhanto23922012@students.uii.ac.idHanif Budimanhabudiman@uii.ac.idPutu Ayu Pramansariagustiananda@uii.ac.id
This study explores the Mbah Demang Tradition's role in achieving community welfare and sustainable development in Banyuraden Village. One of the Indonesian male intellectuals who has a high response to women is Abdurrahman Wahid. Unfortunately, the study of Abdurrahman Wahid still revolves around three studies, namely, as a great thinker in Pluralism, liberalism, and pribumisasi, or privatization of Islam; as a political actor and as an educational thinker. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is first to find the pattern of Abdurrahman Wahid’s thinking about women, second, to look for influencing factors; and third, to look for the relevance of his thoughts. This study is a literature study, which is a study that relies on the main source of Abdurrahman Wahid's works or writings on women. The works or comments of intellectuals who discuss Abdurrahman Wahid's thoughts on women are complementary sources of this paper. Various thoughts of Abdurrahman Wahid will be researched and reduced based on the themes discussed about women. These themes are then analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The study found three things. First, Abdurrahman Wahid’s style of thinking about women is transcendental humanism. This pattern is a discontinuity from the previous thought, where the perspectives of Mu’tazilah, Marxian, and Sufism also give color to his thoughts. Second, the factors that affect the pattern are family, education, life experience, and madhhab thought. These factors are the structure of cultural and ideological understanding. Third, the religious and patriarchal Indonesian people make Abdurrahman Wahid’s thoughts relevant. Abdurrahman Wahid’s modality and habitus (pattern of thinking) allow his thinking to be received and developed by the community. However, this paper has not outlined the continuity and change of Abdurrahman Wahid’s thinking and does not see her intellectual position compared to other female thinkers.
2025-06-14T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 iswahyudi iswahyudi iswahyudihttps://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/adabiya/article/view/6124Dynamics of Acculturation and Enculturation of Languages to Socio-Economic Development in Nigeria: Implication for Poverty Reduction 2024-11-13T14:58:38+00:00Khadijah Ashiru AbdulrahmanKhadijah.ashiru-abdulrahman@uniabuja.edu.ng
Every group and society has cultures constituting frameworks for their lives and behavioral patterns. Cultural factors affect socio-economic behavior in at least four ways: its impact on organization and production, attitudes towards consumption and work, the ability to create and manage institutions, and the creation of social networks. Hence, nations' social and economic performance may be viewed through the lens of the cultural factors that contribute to poverty alleviation and improve the livelihoods of its people while recognizing that other factors also contribute to these dynamics. Nigeria is a heterogeneous society renowned for its linguistic diversity and rich cultural heritage, which presents a unique context for examining the influence of language dynamics on socio-economic outcomes. How these processes affect access to education, employment, and economic opportunities, and how they contribute to or hinder poverty alleviation efforts. While evaluating case studies and statistical data, we discovered that the Nigerian multilingual prowess has not been harnessed for the country's socio-economic growth. The study, therefore, highlights the potential of leveraging language policies and educational programs to enhance socio-economic development by deploying descriptive analysis and adopting Functionalism as its framework. We recommend that by embracing linguistic pluralism, policy integration and community empowerment with modern innovations, Nigeria can harness its linguistic diversity and cultural values to drive entrepreneurship, enhance productivity, and promote social cohesion for sustainable socio-economic development.
2025-06-16T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Khadijah Ashiru Abdulrahmanhttps://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/adabiya/article/view/6270Makna Nilai dan Fungsi Kebudayaan Islam Jawa dalam Kesenian Selawat Gembrungan di Dukuh Purwosari, Desa Gelanglor, Kabupaten Ponorogo2025-03-03T01:02:10+00:00Adhie Handika Restudikasamudera95@gmail.comAldho Efbinawan Sa'adillahaldhoefbinawan13@gmail.com
This study aims to reveal the meaning behind Javanese Islamic culture in the art of Selawat Gembrungan found in Dukuh Purwosari, Gelanglor Village, Sukorejo District, Ponorogo Regency. This article examines the experience of accompanying the Bahá’í community in Pekanbaru during several of its religious observances, including Ridván, Naw-Rúz, and the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh. Employing a sociological approach and drawing on symbolic interactionism, recognition theory, and James C. Scott’s concept of everyday resistance, this study argues that “accompanying” is not merely a gesture of spiritual solidarity but a meaningful social practice that constitutes symbolic resistance to dominant religious narratives. The findings reveal that through empathetic and non-confrontational daily interactions, interfaith actors subtly challenge the boundaries of religious exclusivism and help create a more equitable spiritual space for marginalized groups. As such, accompanying becomes a form of infrapolitics—an understated yet powerful resistance to structural domination. This article contributes to the discourse on pluralism and interfaith studies in Indonesia by highlighting the importance of social presence as a strategy of cultural liberation and affirmation of dignity for marginalized faith communities.
2025-06-26T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Moh.
