The methods used were counseling, community empowerment, and introducing appropriate technologies such as drying ovens, cassava grinders, and oak dough molders to improve production efficiency. The program included training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Occupational Safety and Health (OHS), as well as intensive mentoring for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) for 48 days. The implementation resulted in a 30% increase in production efficiency and a 20% decrease in work accidents. Applying this technology accelerates the production process, ensures product quality, and encourages innovation in digital marketing. The success of this program shows that the introduction of appropriate technology significantly contributes to improving the productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness of traditional food MSMEs. This empowerment model can inspire similar traditional food sector development in other areas with similar potential.
Ahmad Najib, Septrial Arafat, An’im Kafabih Copyright (c) 2025 Ahmad Najib, Septrial Arafat, An’im Kafabih https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/amalee/article/view/6814 Wed, 26 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Training on Portioning Standards and Food Management in Daycare Centers in Bandung City https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/amalee/article/view/6415
Daycare is one of the places that has an important role in supporting children's growth and development, including ensuring children's nutritional intake is appropriate for their age. However, the current quality of daycare centers has not reached the appropriate level. Thus, assisting and increasing caregiver knowledge and skills on organizing a good meal is necessary. This community service program aims to improve the ability of caregivers to calculate nutritional intake according to children's needs and to properly manage the organization of meals in daycare. The method used in this program is a quasi-experiment, which provides training and assistance in preparing lunch menus and morning/afternoon snacks based on local foods. The results of the service program showed that 78.6% of caregivers stated that they were satisfied with the help provided by lecturers and female students during the daycare food menu cooking training, 85.7% of caregivers stated that the food menu made was easy to apply in their workplaces, and 92.9% of caregivers stated that the training provided was by their needs and wanted similar training again. This program can be an effective alternative to increase caregivers' knowledge in Daycare in preparing menus according to the nutritional needs of children.
Ayu Mutiara Santanu, Asti Dewi Rahayu Fitrianingsih, Delita Septia Rosdiana Copyright (c) 2025 Asti Dewi Rahayu Fitrianingsih, Asti Dewi Rahayu Fitrianingsih, Delita Septia Rosdiana https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/amalee/article/view/6415 Wed, 26 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Improving Improving Nutrition Literacy Through Social Behavior Change Communication in Stunting Prevention Efforts in Pundu Village https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/amalee/article/view/6906
Stunting is a significant public health issue in Indonesia, particularly in rural areas such as Pundu Village and Kotawaringin Timur Regency. This study aims to improve community nutrition literacy through the Social Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) approach to encourage behavioral changes in stunting prevention. The research employed an initial survey to understand community conditions, followed by interpersonal communication-based socialization and community-based counseling. The findings indicate that most community members lack understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition, especially in providing proper nutrition for pregnant women and young children. The socialization activities enhanced participants' awareness of the importance of consuming nutritious food and adopting healthy lifestyles, although challenges such as limited resources and food accessibility persist. This study demonstrates that the SBCC approach effectively raises community awareness and is a strategic step for widespread application to reduce stunting prevalence in Indonesia.
Akhmad Jaki Copyright (c) 2025 Akhmad Jaki https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/amalee/article/view/6906 Thu, 27 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Empowerment of Jambi Malay Tribe Women through Batik Staple Fabric Processing to Improve Economic Welfare https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/amalee/article/view/6731
creatively processing Jambi batik patchwork into home décor products and improves economic welfare. However, the usefulness of this river is not accompanied by public awareness of environmental preservation. The environment on the coast of this river is polluted by waste or garbage. The purpose of the assistance is to increase environmental awareness based on Islamic Religious Education from a gender perspective for the Musi River, Palembang, and coastal communities. The assistance method used is Asset Based Communities Development (ABCD). The subjects of assistance were 53 people from the coastal communities of the Musi River in Palembang. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Assistance was carried out through socialization based on Islamic Religious Education integrated with ecological values from a gender perspective. Data analysis used qualitative and Rasch analysis. The assistance results showed that the Musi River's coastal assets in Palembang are locations and human resources that have a high spirit of mutual cooperation to preserve the environment. Rasch's analysis of the level of understanding of environmental awareness based on Islamic religious education from a gender perspective showed that 31 people were categorized as very high, six people were high, 16 people were moderate, and no one was categorized as low. Religious values about nature as a trust in God, the importance of maintaining cleanliness, and the prohibition of causing damage to the earth are the main foundations in building environmental awareness. This service activity aims to overcome this problem by turning plastic waste into eco-bricks because it is relatively easy and can be done by anyone, both children and adults. This community service uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which views everyone has capacities and needs to be explored and mobilized. The results of this community service show that to execute the expectations above, the subsequent activities are conducted in environmental sanitation (Source Tiyo), enhancing the environment, creating trash bins from bamboo, and management of waste banks. There has been a significant change in the community, especially in changing the mindset of viewing waste as an asset by processing it into eco-bricks. To ensure the continuity of the program in the community, the KKN team formed a core group by training students at Islamic boarding schools about the importance of maintaining environmental health. Hopefully, this program will be expanded on a larger scale to maximize its benefits and positively impact environmental sustainability.
Amal Taufiq, Daffa Aji Al Fazza Copyright (c) 2025 Amal Taufiq, Daffa Aji Al Fazza http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/amalee/article/view/6913 Tue, 29 Apr 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Pekan Karya Ilmiah Fakultas Sebagai Upaya Menguatkan Jiwa Kepemimpinan Serta Habituasi Menulis Ilmiah Mahasiswa https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/amalee/article/view/6344
The Scientific Work Week of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syekh Yusuf Islamic University is an activity to strengthen student leadership and the habituation of writing scientific papers among students.
