This study examines the utilization of the Dukuh Ngudal community's religious potential through Qur'anic learning assistance at TPQ Al-Huda, Pagerukir Village, Sampung Subdistrict, using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. Unlike prior deficit-oriented TPQ assistance studies, this research positions community assets as the foundation for planning and implementation. Employing a qualitative ABCD method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving TPQ administrators, teachers, community leaders, and student volunteers. Findings reveal four interrelated asset categories: human assets, reflected in local teachers' sustained dedication despite lacking formal religious credentials; social assets, manifested in organic collaboration between teachers and volunteers alongside parental support; physical assets, represented by three strategically distributed worship facilities; and socio-cultural-religious assets, embodied in enduring communal traditions. The Dream stage identified aspirations for permanent, competent teachers and expanded activities, informing the Design stage's strategy of pairing local commitment with volunteers' technical competence. Implementation produced layered benefits greater student engagement, reduced teaching burden, and revitalized institutional activity while the Destiny stage emphasized teachers' continued commitment as the guarantor of sustainability. These findings demonstrate that asset-based strategies generate more sustainable intervention pathways than conventional deficit-oriented approaches in rural non-formal religious education.
