A PENGUATAN SINERGI GURU DAN ORANG TUA DALAM MEWUJUDKAN PAUD BERKUALITAS: PRAKTIK BAIK DI TK PLUS WAHIDIYAH SAMPUNG
Abstract
Quality Early Childhood Education (ECE) cannot be achieved through the role of the school alone, but requires a strong synergy between teachers and parents. This study aims to describe the forms, challenges, and impact of teacher-parent synergy in achieving quality ECE through good practices implemented at TK Plus Wahidiyah Sampung. The activity used an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach grounded in field findings and structured interviews with four informants as the primary source of data, namely the school principal, one classroom teacher, and two parents from Group A and Group B. The results show that synergy was built through direct communication during children's drop-off and pick-up, a WhatsApp group, a home-school communication notebook, weekly routine meetings, and parenting activities held together with students undertaking Community Service Lectures (KPM) from Institut Agama Islam Sunan Giri (INSURI) Ponorogo. This synergy contributed to improvements in children's independence, discipline, and the consistency of their Islamic character, both at school and at home. The main challenge was that some parents' busy schedules meant they did not always respond promptly to teachers' information, which was addressed through a communication approach that was personal, simple, flexible, and consistent (istiqomah). This study recommends that other ECE institutions replicate a consistent two-way communication system as the key to successful school-family partnerships.
