This study aims to describe the process of optimizing Qur’an learning through the application of an individual method combined with fine motor stimulation among students at the Madrasah Diniyah of SDN 4 Pohijo. The study is motivated by the low interest and ability of some students in participating in Qur’an learning, particularly in individual reading and writing activities that require fine motor coordination. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving 130 students and 7 teachers/ustadz as research subjects. Data were collected through direct observation of Qur’an learning activities in four classes, conducted through both classical and individual instruction. The findings indicate that, at the initial stage, most students aged 7–9 years experienced difficulties in holding writing instruments and writing hijaiyah letters according to the proper rules. After receiving approximately one month of individual guidance as a complement to the existing classical learning, the students demonstrated improvement in their ability to write hijaiyah letters more accurately. These findings indicate that combining the individual method with fine motor stimulation can support the improvement of hijaiyah writing skills while also encouraging students’ renewed interest in Qur’an learning. However, the imbalance between the number of students and teachers remains one of the challenges in implementing individual guidance in the field.
