The ability to read the Qur’an correctly is a fundamental aspect of religious character formation among young learners, yet many elementary school students still face difficulties in recognizing hijaiyah letters and applying proper tajwid rules. This community service activity aims to describe the process and outcomes of a program designed to improve Qur’anic reading skills among students of SDN 2 Karangwaluh, Sampung District, Ponorogo Regency, implemented through the Madrasah Diniyah program using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The program was carried out through five stages—Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, and Destiny—employing individual and small-group guided reading, makhraj reinforcement, and tajwid practice, evaluated through oral reading tests at the beginning and end of the program. The results indicate an improvement in students’ recognition of hijaiyah letters, pronunciation accuracy, and application of basic tajwid rules, despite challenges such as limited instructional time, varied initial student abilities, and limited supporting facilities. The program produced positive impacts on students’ motivation, confidence, and reading habits, and generated a learning model that the school can sustain independently after the KPM program concludes.
