Peningkatan Minat Belajar Anak melalui Program Bimbingan Belajar Gratis oleh Mahasiswa KPM di SDN 4 Pohijo
Abstract
Learning interest is an important factor in supporting children's success in mastering basic reading, writing, and arithmetic (calistung) skills. The conditions at SDN 4 Pohijo indicate that a number of students have not yet demonstrated adequate proficiency in these basic skills, which is closely associated with their relatively low interest in learning. To address this issue, KPM INSURI Ponorogo implemented a free tutoring program in Kangkungan Hamlet, Pohijo Village, aimed at increasing children's interest and enthusiasm for learning. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with students and parents, and documentation conducted throughout the implementation of the program. The findings indicate that the application of varied, enjoyable, and ability-appropriate learning methods encouraged students to develop greater enjoyment and confidence in learning, while also increasing their active participation in learning activities. Furthermore, the program contributed to reducing disparities in access to supplementary education among children in rural areas, particularly those facing economic limitations and limited access to learning facilities. Based on these findings, the free tutoring program can be considered to have contributed positively to increasing students' learning interest and supporting the development of their basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills at SDN 4 Pohijo.
