Abstract

Adequate religious understanding is a fundamental prerequisite for a harmonious, dignified Muslim community with noble character. In many rural areas—including Dusun Temon, Desa Pagerukir, Kecamatan Sampung, Kabupaten Ponorogo—residents' grasp of everyday fiqh remains limited, reflected in unanswered questions about worship practice, scarce accessible fiqh literature, and the absence of a structured forum for studying fiqh of worship, muamalah, and social affairs, a gap compounded by reliance on unverified religious information on social media. The 2026 INSURI Community Service Program (KPM) in Dusun Temon addressed this challenge through the program "Strengthening Community Religious Understanding through Regular Fiqh Study Sessions," employing an Asset-Based Community-Driven Development (ABCD) approach that identifies, develops, and mobilizes existing local assets. Data were gathered through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation.
