Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa Candi melalui Pelestarian Seni Rebana sebagai Media Pengembangan Kreativitas dan Karakter Keagamaan di Desa Candi Kecamatan Pringkuku Kabupaten Pacitan
Abstract
This community service program aimed to revitalize traditional rebana music while developing creativity and strengthening religious character among young people in Melian Hamlet, Candi Village, Pringkuku District, Pacitan Regency. The program was conducted from August 5 to September 8, 2026, using a participatory approach involving students of SD Negeri 2 Candi, local youth, and community leaders. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, and activity evaluations. The program consisted of problem identification, activity planning, rebana music training, and evaluation. The training covered basic playing techniques, rhythmic variations, musical arrangements, vocal combinations, simple movements, and digital documentation. The results indicated increased participation, with a newly formed rebana group involving more than 15 active participants. Participants also began to develop their skills in combining traditional and modern rhythms, vocals, and simple movements. In addition, regular practice provided opportunities to foster discipline, responsibility, cooperation, confidence, and appreciation of Islamic values through religious lyrics. Digital documentation was also prepared to support the promotion of local cultural activities. These findings suggest that participatory community engagement can support the preservation of traditional Islamic arts while providing opportunities for creativity and religious character development. However, continued training and community support are necessary to maintain the program's sustainability.
