The method used is bibliometric analysis with the Biblioshiny application and the central database analyzed from scopus.com. The keywords used were "parental involvement" and "inclusive education" in research from 1975 to 2024. After the extraction process with only article publications in scientific journals, 170 publication data were obtained. The results of bibliometric analysis show that in nearly 50 years, the number of studies tends to be small—most research centers in the United States, with the most productive institution being the University of Minnesota. At the same time, the most productive researcher is Gabriella Pusztai, who has three publications. The primary reference journal is Early Child and Development Care. When viewed from keywords, child, parent, and parental involvement are the most dominant keywords researchers use. This provides a comprehensive picture of the development of parental involvement research. Furthermore, research is expected to be more contextualized with the socio-cultural conditions where the research is conducted to add to the diversity of research related to parental involvement, especially in inclusive education.
2025-02-20T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Diah Kurniati, Edris Zamroni, Slamet Utomo, Indah Lestari, Ana Espejo Mirana https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/6274 The Concept of Islamic Inclusive Education in Early Childhood (Critical Analysis of STEAM Learning Model) 2025-03-03T11:48:51+00:00 Hasanah Hasanah hasanah@iiq.ac.id Suyadi Suyadi suyadi@uin-suka.ac.id Zulkipli Lessy zulkipli.lessy@uin-suka.ac.id
This research aims to investigate the concept of inclusive based on Islamic education by examining the learning model of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) in PAUD critically and exploring how the development of religious aspects in the STEAM model can improve the holistic education of early childhood. The research method used by the authors is qualitative with library research, and the data collection used is documentation by searching for data from books, journals, and other sources related to the research problem and analysis techniques using content analysis. The research results generally emphasize that inclusive education in the STEAM context must integrate aspects of spirituality with science. Inclusive education based on multipotential and multidimensional is important in forming individuals who are tough and competitive in facing the challenges of the digital age. This aligns with the understanding that humans have multidimensionality, which needs to be developed comprehensively from an early age. Islamic inclusive education is by the Islamic view of human nature, where humans are created with various natures. In Islam, the term "insan kamil" emphasizes human perfection, both spiritually and materially. The aim of Islamic inclusive education is in line with Islamic education; it is to form individuals who are balanced between world life and the afterlife.
2025-03-03T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Hasanah Hasanah, Suyadi Suyadi, Zulkipli Lessy https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/5614 The Role of Future Work Self Towards Career Search Efficacy Among Undergraduate Students 2025-03-11T11:49:39+00:00 Gianti Gunawan gianti.gunawan@psy.maranatha.edu
In adolescence and adulthood, individuals have the developmental task of finding the right career. The results offer practical recommendations for educators, policymakers, and technology developers to optimize AI use in primary schools, ensuring that it becomes an inclusive tool for enhancing educational outcomes.
2025-03-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Natalina Purba, Desti Pujiati, Partohap Saut Raja Sihombing, Hendra Simanjuntak, Desi Sijabat https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/6762 Strengthening Democracy through Campus: The Influence of Education on Student Political Participation 2025-03-11T11:49:38+00:00 Elly Hasan Sadeli ellyhasansadeli85@gmail.com
This study investigates the impact of democratic education on student engagement in Indonesia’s 2024 General Elections. Using a quantitative survey design, data were collected from 250 students across five universities to examine their understanding of democratic concepts, perceptions of democratic education, and political participation. The findings indicate a moderate positive correlation (r = 0.412, p < 0.001) between democratic education and political engagement. While students exhibit strong foundational knowledge of democracy, their procedural understanding—such as knowledge of institutional mechanisms and electoral processes—remains limited. The study highlights the need for higher education institutions to adopt application-based approaches to democratic education, including electoral simulations, public debates, and advocacy training, to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills. By fostering informed and active political participation, such programs hold the potential to strengthen democratic resilience in Indonesia and other developing democracies. This research contributes to the global discourse on democratic education by providing empirical evidence from a developing country context. Future research should integrate qualitative methods and explore the role of social and institutional factors in shaping political engagement for a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamics between education and democracy.
2025-03-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Elly Hasan Sadeli https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/6770 Tandziful ‘Am: Islamic Boarding School Traditions in Caring for Harmony Interreligious People 2025-03-11T11:49:37+00:00 Husnul Qodim maulani@radenfatah.ac.id Abdul Karim abdulkarim_@radenfatah.ac.id Maulani Maulani maulani@radenfatah.ac.id Muhammad Qaaf m.alfathqaaf_uin@radenfatah.ac.id
This article discusses the tradition of fanciful 'being carried out by the Darul Hikmah Islamic boarding school in maintaining harmony between Muslims and Christians in the city of Medan. Educators are the spearhead of success in the educational process. Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia have experienced a bad stigma regarding Islamic boarding school management, and this still occurs to date. Since Islamic boarding schools are poorly run, there has not been much change in the status quo in non-formal education, which is characterized as conventional, conservative, and outdated. Nevertheless, the public still strongly desires Islamic boarding schools, which are rumored to exist occasionally. Library research methods are used in this investigation. The research data source includes library resources, books, and chosen research articles pertinent to this study. According to the research findings, Kyai's responsibilities as a top leader are multifaceted; he must enhance his quality as a manager, teacher, and preacher. They can work professionally by their roles and duties and are quality in the truest sense. Providing decent salaries and ensuring teacher welfare can be a consideration for improving teacher quality to improve the quality of education; moreover, in implementing Islamic boarding schools, quality management is based on management principles, including Planning, Organizing, acting, and Controlling, which are based on quality. The implications of the results of this study for the leaders of Islamic boarding schools are that it is very important to implement quality principles, namely continuous improvement, quality standards (quality assurance), development of quality culture (development of culture), organizational changes that follow changes in vision and mission that are oriented towards quality (upside down organization) and maintaining good relationships with customers (keeping close to the customer). The research method used in this article is qualitative content analysis by critically reviewing primary and secondary literature data. Conclusions of the results show that the discourse of turāth in the Islamic world has given rise to polarizations in Islamic thought movements, including issues of violence in the name of religion, due to differences in responses to turāth and modernity. In Indonesia, discussions of the discourse of turāth have given birth to a new strand of Islamic thought called “Islamic Post-Traditionalism”. In the context of Indonesian Islamic education in the contemporary era, the discourse of turāth has significance in mapping the direction towards a bright future for Indonesian Muslims and formulating Islamic education based on peace. This article proposes the discourse of Islamic Post-Traditionalism as a paradigmatic framework to achieve these goals, both at the micro (individual) and meso (institutional) levels, as well as the macro (social) level. In turn, the construction of a civil society based on the Islamic principle of rahmah li al-‘ālamīn is expected to be realized in Indonesia in the future.
2025-04-22T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Ishom Fuadi Fikri, Husniyatus Salamah Zainiyati, Suryani Suryani https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/6838 Optimizing Competitive Advantages in Amtsilati Flagship Programs: A Strategic Approach to Enhance Islamic Boarding Schools' Competitiveness 2025-02-17T02:18:12+00:00 Iwan Sopwandin Iwansopwandin8@gmail.com Abdul Baits Iwansopwandin8@gmail.com Isep Nendri Rostiana Iwansopwandin8@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the efforts made by Ansoriyah Islamic Boarding School to increase competitiveness through competitive advantages in the Amtsilati flagship program. This research uses a qualitative approach with philosophical, theological-normative, pedagogical, psychological, and sociological foundations. Data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data analysis techniques that include data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusions drawn. The study results show that Tajwid learning with Ahmad's story approach can increase students' understanding, emotional involvement, and love for the Qur'an. The main obstacles in learning include limited facilities, teaching materials, and time allocation. However, the role of a patient and inspirational ustad is the key to building the motivation and confidence of students. The story-based method provides a more lively and contextual learning atmosphere. This research implies that a simple learning approach that touches on emotional and pedagogical aspects can be an effective solution in an Islamic boarding school environment with technological limitations. Ongoing support, both in terms of facilities and training of educators, is needed to strengthen the implementation of this method in the long term. This experience can be an alternative model in developing Tajwid learning that is more humanistic and applicative.
2025-04-22T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Ahmad A, Abd Rahman Getteng, Andi Fitriani Djollong, Abdul Halik https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/6915 Reconstructing Ta’dib Philosophy: A Theoretical Framework for Modern Islamic Boarding School System 2025-03-19T12:44:02+00:00 Heru Saiful Anwar heruanwar@unidagontor.ac.id Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyi hfzark@unida.gontor.ac.id Mohammad Muslih muslih@unida.gontor.ac.id St. Noer Farida Laila noer.farida@uinsatu.ac.id
This study explores the philosophy of Ta’dib as the foundational framework for the Islamic education system, emphasizing moral and character development alongside intellectual growth. This research employed a literature review method by analyzing classical and contemporary sources to explore key Islamic educational concepts' meanings, implications, and differences, including tarbiyah, ta’lim, and Ta’dib. Through a comprehensive examination of relevant books, journal articles, and scholarly works, the study identified Ta’dib as a holistic concept emphasizing moral and character development in Islamic education. The findings reveal that Ta’dib extends beyond formal education by cultivating individuals with noble morals, ethical conduct, and a deep understanding of Islamic values. Unlike tarbiyah and ta’lim, which focus on knowledge transfer and spiritual development, Ta’dib serves as a comprehensive moral compass for shaping character and guiding behavior. The study highlights the relevance of Ta’dib in addressing contemporary educational challenges, particularly in nurturing ethical leadership and fostering community cohesion. Quranic schools embody Ta’dib-based education and are exemplary models of integrating character formation with Islamic teachings. This research concludes that the philosophy of Ta’dib provides a sustainable and effective framework for Islamic education. It recommends that educational institutions adopt Ta’dib-centered curricula to address students' moral, spiritual, and intellectual needs, ensuring they become responsible individuals who embody Islamic principles daily.
2025-04-22T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Heru Saiful Anwar, Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyi, Mohammad Muslih, St. Noer Farida Laila https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/5812 Dynamics of Language Use in Socio-Academic Contexts and Their Implications for Language Teaching 2025-02-07T09:23:31+00:00 Muh Kholiq kholiq040973@gmail.com
This study explores the patterns of language use in the socio-academic context at Gunadarma University and their implications for language teaching. This study examines the process of inventorying Qur'anic verses integrated with scientific concepts in Islamic Education learning books at Manaaratul Iman Elementary School. Using a qualitative approach through document analysis and Seyyed Hossein Nasr's hermeneutic framework, this study found that identifying, selecting, and interpreting verses was not fully systematic and still lacked the application of thematic (maudhu’i) methods. The lack of teacher involvement and contextual information, such as asbabun nuzul, also weakens the integration between science and religion. The findings fill the void of practical studies integrating science and religion at the basic education level. This research analyzes the curriculum process by concretely integrating the Qur'an and science. Through periodic evaluations, the involvement of tafsir experts and scientists to apply the maudhu’i method systematically, and teacher training in thematic methods are also important recommendations so that the integration of religion and science does not stop at the concept level, but becomes a transformative Islamic curriculum model that is relevant to the times.
2025-05-02T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Eni Zulaiha, Pebrianu Srifatonah https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/6203 Development of Educational Games Based on Design Thinking to Improve Mathematical Thinking Skills 2025-04-25T14:17:41+00:00 Muhtarom Muhtarom muhtarom@upgris.ac.id Sugiyanti Sugiyanti khoirulfathoni@insuriponorogo.ac.id Muhammad Saifuddin Zuhri khoirulfathoni@insuriponorogo.ac.id Nur Latifah Dwi Mutiara khoirulfathoni@insuriponorogo.ac.id Hendrisa Adrillian khoirulfathoni@insuriponorogo.ac.id Milagros Baldemor khoirulfathoni@insuriponorogo.ac.id
The development of technology has a significant impact on the world of education. Through a quasi-experimental design, this study combines quantitative surveys, social media sentiment analysis with big data-based NLP, and statistical regression of academic records from 1,200 students at 10 universities in Indonesia. The study results show that students' negative perception of Indonesian courses has a significant negative correlation with their academic achievement. Through regression and correlation analysis, it was found that students with higher levels of negative sentiment towards this course tended to have a lower Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA), with R² = 0.23 (p < 0.001) which suggests that the negative perception of the course can explain the variability of a GPA of 23%. These findings suggest that an unpleasant learning experience can significantly affect students' academic performance, especially when associated with teaching methods, curriculum relevance, and students' academic burden. This study examines school principals' leadership in implementing religious moderation at two Islamic Vocational Senior High Schools: SMK NU Tulungagung and SMK Islam 1 Durenan Trenggalek. It aims to understand the leadership style of school principals in instilling religious moderation values and the learning process and implementation of these values. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with managerial, pedagogical, sociological, and psychological approaches. The research data sources include principals, teachers, and students from both schools. Data collection techniques employ participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis employs the Miles and Huberman model, which involves data condensation, presentation, and conclusion. The theoretical studies used include leadership theory in education and religious moderation. The results show that these values occur informally and are already part of the school culture, although no written policy specifically regulates them. This process has proven effective in shaping students' moderate attitudes, increasing tolerance, and strengthening the love of the homeland in both schools
2025-05-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Ahmad Supriyadi, Muqarramah Sulaiman Kurdi https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/7051 Instilling Religious Values Through Songs in Forming Social Bonds at West Kalimantan State Middle Schools 2025-04-29T09:39:16+00:00 Mastri Dihita Sagala mastri.dihita@fkip.untan.ac.id
Instilling religious values is important to implement early, even during children's development and growth. Music, which has numerous benefits, can be an effective strategy in instilling those religious values. This research discusses the instillation of religious values implemented through singing activities using the "Mars Gembira Bergerak." The focus and data of the research were gathered at SMPN 2 Bengkayang, West Kalimantan. This song was created by the headmaster, who also has an interest and talent in the field of music. This research is descriptive and adopts a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation of the song, which were transcribed to understand the lyrics and meaning of the song. The primary source is Mr. Marsel Marselius, the Headmaster and the song's creator. The triangulation technique was used to determine the educational strategy. The research results show that this song contains values of responsibility, enthusiasm, independence, creativity, and wisdom. It is important to sing while performing rhythmic movements so that this can lead to the creation of an interactive and enjoyable learning environment. Engaging social education will encourage active participation from students, fostering a sense of togetherness and strengthening social bonds among them. Through music, Islamic values such as the spirit of struggle, cooperation, and love for the homeland can be conveyed in a more engaging and easily understood manner by the students.
2025-05-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Mastri Dihita Sagala https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/7077 Islamic Education Based on Multiculturalism in Post-Social Conflict Reconciliation 2025-04-19T03:19:57+00:00 Andi Markarma amarkarma@uindatokarama.ac.id Dedi Djubaedi amarkarma@uindatokarama.ac.id A. For this reason, this research was carried out to identify and describe important concepts that are the basis of multicultural Islamic education in post-social conflict reconciliation. This research used a descriptive qualitative research paradigm with documentation and field research models in the community and Islamic educational institutions in Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. Data collection techniques use documentation, interviews, and observation. The reduced and classified data were then studied and conceptualized based on an in-depth study based on the theoretical perspective of Islamic education and multiculturalism. The results of the research are that the conceptualization of Islamic education based on multiculturalism in post-social conflict reconciliation is conceptualized in the form of (1) Islamic education to understand human differences; (2) Islamic education becomes a set of values for social life; (3) Islamic education accommodates local values; and (4) Islamic education becomes the foundation for social reconciliation. This conceptualization confirms that Islamic education based on multiculturalism can be used as an alternative in post-social conflict reconciliation.
2025-05-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Andi Markarma, Dedi Djubaedi, A. The study uses an integrated literature review strategy to synthesis qualitative and quantitative data from many disciplines, including cultural anthropology, education, and nutrition. Thematic analysis yielded three key findings: (1) Nyangu boosts health by producing resistant starch, lowering the glycemic index, and lowering the risk of diabetes and obesity compared to modern rice cookers. (2) It incorporates food security through zero-waste practices, repurposing leftovers into traditional meals (e.g., opak, pepes), and demonstrates sustainable resource management in line with the SDGs. (3) The practice instills moral-social values such as community eating (botram) and food reverence, which promote social cohesiveness and cultural identity. The conclusions underline the importance of Nyangu in sustaining Sundanese history in the face of globalization, with implications for incorporating its values into official and informal education curricula. This integration can potentially strengthen cultural identity, encourage sustainable practices to counter cultural degradation, and call for a legislative framework linking traditional practices with modern educational institutions.
2025-06-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Vicky Taniady, Encep Syarief N, Yadi Ruyadi, Momod Abdul S, Edi Suresman https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/5312 Poor Students’ Strategies in Achieving Achievement In Favorite Schools: A Qualitative Study in Cilacap and Banyumas 2025-05-08T05:31:33+00:00 Nanang Martono nanang.martono@unsoed.ac.id Elis Puspitasari elis.puspitasari@unsoed.ac.id Mintarti Mintarti mintarti@unsoed.ac.id Sulyana Dadan sulyana.dadan@unsoed.ac.id Laila Sabrina laila.sabrina@mhs.unsoed.ac.id
Poor students are often considered students with difficulty achieving in school due to limited resources. Therefore, appropriate principles are required to develop the Islamic education curriculum. This study explains the contributions of several educational philosophical schools of thought and their implementation as a foundation for constructing an Islamic education curriculum. The study focuses on three educational philosophies: progressivism, constructivism, and humanism. The method employed is library research using a descriptive analytical approach, presented systematically and objectively. This study finds that integrating progressivism, constructivism, and humanism philosophies in developing Islamic education curricula can enrich pedagogical strategies while preserving core Islamic values. The progressivist approach promotes experiential learning and problem-solving, constructivism emphasizes knowledge construction through reflection and collaboration, while humanism nurtures learners' emotional, moral, and spiritual aspects. In the Mandailing region, the presence of Ulama is significant and has contributed meaningfully to the development of Islamic scholarship in the archipelago. Among them, three prominent figures, Shaykh Abdul Halim Khatib, Shaykh Syihabuddin, and Shaykh Abdul Qadir Bin Shabir, stand out with intellectual capacities comparable to other renowned Nusantara Ulama. This study aims to analyze their scientific networks and intellectual social constructions. Using a qualitative approach and library research methods, including documentation and content analysis, the research explores the underlying patterns of their scholarly engagement. Findings show that Mandailing Ulama focuses more on community movements than written scholarship. This is largely because the local society values Ulama as religious scholars and traditional and social leaders. Their active involvement in communal life limits the time and opportunity for writing. Nonetheless, the intellectual focus of these three Ulama centers on fundamental Islamic theology, particularly the 20 attributes of Allah (sifat 20). Shaykh Syihabuddin is especially noted for his contribution to the Naqshbandiyyah Sufi order, which he elaborates in his book Fath al-Qalb. This work extends beyond theoretical insights into practical spirituality. Similarly, Shaykh Abdul Halim Khatib was deeply engaged in Sufi practice and reportedly taught such knowledge at the Mustafawiyah Pesantren. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. This research was conducted at Yogyakarta State University in the undergraduate department of education management in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, involving 46 students as the main informants. The results showed that the application of the group investigation model in the active learning process, both in class and through WhatsApp groups, was facilitated by a discussion sheet containing responses, suggestions, and questions that had to be filled in by several groups of listeners. The discussion was conducted after the presenting group delivered its topic, where the listening group gave responses to the presenting group. This democratic attitude emerges due to students' active participation in the learning forum, which includes freedom to participate, freedom of expression, and the development of collaborative attitudes. Thus, the group investigation model improves the understanding of the material and shapes students' characters to be more democratic and collaborative in their interactions with others.
2025-06-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Ahmad Ridwan, Mukhamad Murdiono, Shely Cathrin, Sindy Sataroh, Marzuki Marzuki https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/7066 The Rationality of Surabaya State University Students in Choosing Teaching Majors: An Analysis of Max Weber’s Social Action 2025-05-08T05:30:58+00:00 Putri Cahya Sufiyah putricahya.21051@mhs.unesa.ac.id M. This perception has gradually led to a clearer division of roles between men and women. During a six-month observation at Surabaya State University, an interesting phenomenon of gender dominance was discovered when the education department had a larger female student population than male students. This study aimed to analyze the reasons given by students for choosing the education department by adopting a qualitative research method. The data sources used are secondary data and primary data. Secondary data comes from books, journals, theses, and documents that still have an appeal to the research topic. Then the primary data is obtained through non-participant observation and unstructured interviews. Furthermore, it is explained using the interactive model data analysis technique from Miles and Huberman. The results of the study indicate that male students decisions to choose the education major were made after considering future job prospects (instrumental rationality), referring to religious values (value rationality), referring to feelings (affective action), and continuing the family tradition of pursuing a career in education (traditional action). Unlike previous studies focusing more on external factors (economic support), this study highlights more complex internal reasons.
2025-06-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Putri Cahya Sufiyah, M. This study aims to analyze the role of religious moderation in strengthening social harmony and interfaith tolerance among students of different faiths. The methodology used is a literature review, with data from journals, books, and relevant research conducted over the past five years. The results reveal a significant gap between the concept of religious moderation and its actual practice among students in campus life. While moderation is emphasized in educational policies, it has not yet been fully internalized as a social behavior, particularly in students' everyday interactions. These results suggest that religious education based on moderation should focus on transforming theoretical concepts into tangible actions, not merely discourse. The study also identifies that moderate religious values, such as balance, justice, and tolerance, are crucial for reducing intolerance and radicalism. Therefore, the study recommends strengthening campus policies and increasing student participation as key agents of interfaith harmony. Additionally, it suggests future research using qualitative field approaches to explore how religious moderation is applied in students' daily lives.
2025-06-18T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Yosefo Gule https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/7110 Teaching Materials of Local Wisdom-Based E-Book in Digital Learning: A Systematic Literature Review 2025-04-29T09:40:26+00:00 Uyung Amilul Ulum 7782220013@untirta.ac.id Asep Muhyidin muhyidin21@untirta.ac.id Ujang Jamaludin ujangjamaludin@untirta.ac.id
The growing demand for culturally responsive digital learning highlights the importance of developing local wisdom-based e-book teaching materials to enrich online education and strengthen students' cultural identity. Following PRISMA guidelines, this study presents a systematic literature review of local wisdom-based e-book teaching materials in digital learning. Traditional methods like textbooks and static visual aids often fail to engage students actively and ensure consistent vocabulary retention. To address this, the study applied a pre-experimental design with a quantitative approach, using a one-group pretest-post-test format. The intervention involved a life-sized Snakes and Ladders board placed on the classroom floor, where students physically moved as game pieces and answered vocabulary prompts at each square—this setup aimed to provide an interactive learning experience, reinforcing vocabulary through repetition and contextual application. The study involved 18 fourth-grade students, with an initial average pretest score of 71.61, which increased to 94.11 in the Post-test, showing an improvement of 22.50 points. A paired t-test revealed a statistically significant improvement (t(17) = -12.144, p < 0.001), with Cohen's d = 3.79, indicating a substantial impact. These results demonstrate that Snakes and Ladders game-based learning can significantly enhance vocabulary acquisition. Students' character does not grow only by accepting theories and concepts in classroom learning, but it requires habits in their daily lives so that it becomes a habitual attitude. This study aims to capture the attitude of respect for students at SILN Saudi Arabia towards themselves, others, the environment, and the multicultural relationships they experience. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the concept's foundation of moral education by Syekh Al-Zarnuji in the book Ta’lim Muta’alim and Will Kymlicka's multicultural theory as the basis for its study. The main finding in this study is the uniqueness of students' characters, shown in positive attitudes in daily life. This good attitude positively affects students' personal lives and has implications for their survival when interacting with others. The recommendation in this study is the need to build synergy between schools, guardians of students and the community, so that the development of good character in students can be maintained when they are at home, at school, or while doing activities in the community, as well as in their lives in the future.
2025-07-03T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Anis Fuadah Z., Sibawaihi Sibawaihi https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/6703 The Effectiveness of the Green Activity Program in Improving Pro-Environmental Consumer Behavior in Elementary School Students 2025-01-09T08:32:06+00:00 Deasy Rahmawati derafatri_14@yahoo.co.id Nana Supriatna nanasup@upi.edu Sapriya Sapriya sapriya@upi.edu
This study aims to examine the effectiveness of green activity programs in shaping the pro-environmental consumer behavior of elementary school students. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis in five elementary schools participating in the program across Makassar. The research involved 12 informants, including Kampus Mengajar participants from Universitas Hasanuddin and the elementary school teachers they collaborated. The collected data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study found that integrating Islamic educational values, such as Tauhid, akhlak, ibadah, and muamalah, into classroom activities significantly enhanced students' character development, particularly regarding honesty, responsibility, and tolerance. These values were instilled through religious rituals, community projects, and everyday interactions. The program also fostered students' awareness of environmental ethics and social empathy. The findings suggest that Kampus Mengajar is an effective vehicle for character education aligned with Islamic values. It is recommended that future implementations provide structured training for participants on Islamic educational integration. While globalization positively impacts technological advancement and information accessibility, it also triggers moral crises, value disorientation, and character degradation, particularly among the younger generation. This research adopts a qualitative approach using the literature review method, examining various sources related to character education and religious values within global education. The findings indicate that effective character education strategies must integrate spiritual, moral, and cognitive dimensions into formal and non-formal curricula through contextual, participatory, and sustainable approaches. The developed character education model emphasizes inclusivity, contextual relevance, and the involvement of all stakeholders, including teachers, school principals, families, and communities. Religious values such as honesty, responsibility, and tolerance are the foundation for shaping students' character. This study recommends policy synergy between central and local governments, continuous teacher training, and the utilization of digital technology as a medium for teaching religious values. Through this approach, character education can foster a generation with integrity that is resilient against the negative influences of globalization.
2025-07-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Umamatul Bahiyah https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/7127 Analysis of the Minister of Education's Curriculum Policy in the 2019-2024 Vs. 2024-2029 Era 2025-05-02T04:49:52+00:00 Supriyanti Supriyanti supriyanti040682@gmail.com Dewi Kurniawati kasidinratijah45@gmail.com Roni Susanto rooneyshushantho@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the implications of the policy of eliminating and reinstating the major system in Senior High Schools (SMA) on the development of students' interests and talents in Lampung Province. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation in seven senior high schools across the Lampung region. The analysis used Foucauldian Discursive Analysis (FDA) to map the policy dynamics in two government periods: 2019–2024 and 2024–2029. The study results show that the Independent Curriculum policy (2019–2024) provides a wider exploration space for students' interests and talents, but faces implementation challenges due to limited infrastructure and human resources. Meanwhile, the major reinstatement policy (2024–2029) provides a more structured learning direction, but risks narrowing students' exploration space. A comparison of the two shows that the effectiveness of the policy is highly dependent on institutional readiness and the quality of mentoring. This study recommends a hybrid approach that combines the flexibility of subject selection with the major structure as an alternative solution for a more adaptive and inclusive secondary education system.
2025-07-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Supriyanti Supriyanti, Dewi Kurniawati, Roni Susanto https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/7138 Semantic Analysis of Children's Education Curriculum According to the Qur'an: A Study of Q.S. Using a mixed-methods design, the study involved 250 high school students from urban and rural backgrounds divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through linguistic corpus analysis (N > 10,000 units), pretest–posttest, in-depth interviews, and learning observations. Data analysis was performed quantitatively with paired t-tests, hierarchical regression, and qualitative thematic analysis using NVivo software. The results showed that students in the experimental group experienced a significant improvement in their ability to interpret contextual and metaphorical meanings (p < 0.001, d Cohen = 1.2). Visualizations such as heatmaps, word clouds, and semantic networks show that words such as body, bolt, and Jockey undergo complex expansion of meaning and can be read as representations of social change. These findings show that educational humor has strong potential as a language learning medium that builds critical literacy, broadens semantic insights, and enhances students' empathy for socio-cultural issues. This study concludes that comedy-based semantic approaches are effective for vocabulary mastery and relevant in shaping a generation of learners sensitive to the dynamics of language and meaning in social life.
2025-07-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Umi Faizah, Tsalaatsa ‘Ashri Harsandi, Khabib Sholeh, Kadaryati Kadaryati, Bagiya Bagiya https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/7193 Implementation of Experiential Learning to Enhance Students' Historical Thinking Skills 2025-05-08T05:29:52+00:00 Haris Firmansyah harisfirmansyah@untan.ac.id Astrini Eka Putri astriniekap@fkip.untan.ac.id Hadi Wiyono hadipips@untan.ac.id
This study explores the implementation of Experiential Learning in enhancing students' historical thinking skills. Historical thinking is a critical competency that enables students to analyze, interpret, and critically evaluate historical events, moving beyond rote memorization. However, history education in Indonesia is predominantly lecture-based, limiting student engagement and analytical skill development. This research adopts a qualitative case study approach conducted at a high school in Pontianak, involving history teachers and students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that Experiential Learning, through methods such as historical field trips, reenactments, and project-based learning, significantly improves students' chronological understanding, awareness of historical causation, and empathy for historical figures. The study also identifies challenges, including resource constraints and the need for more effective instructional strategies. The research concludes that Experiential Learning promotes a deeper, more meaningful understanding of history, empowering students to construct knowledge through firsthand experiences actively. Future research should focus on developing scalable models for integrating Experiential Learning in diverse educational settings.
2025-07-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Haris Firmansyah, Astrini Eka Putri, Hadi Wiyono https://ejournal.insuriponorogo.ac.id/index.php/qalamuna/article/view/7239 Inclusive and Personalization: Reinterpreting Christian Education Learning Planning Based on the Merdeka Curriculum 2025-05-16T15:02:01+00:00 Justice Zeni Zari Panggabean justice.panggabean@gmail.com
This study investigates the implementation of an inclusive and personalized curriculum in Christian Religious Education at SD Negeri 178492 Pagar Batu Village, North Tapanuli. This study employed a qualitative approach with 23 participants, comprising teachers and students. The findings reveal that the curriculum effectively promoted inclusivity by addressing students' diverse learning needs, backgrounds, and spiritual development. Teachers employed various instructional strategies, such as differentiated tasks and flexible group discussions, while adapting lesson plans to individual interests and abilities. Students appreciated the opportunities to personalize their learning experiences and connect them with religious teachings. However, the study also identified challenges, including limited resources, insufficient training in inclusive education strategies, and inconsistent personalized instruction across different classes. Overall, the research highlights that while the curriculum’s inclusive and personalized approach was largely successful, there remains a need for strengthened professional development and resource support to enhance its consistent and effective application.
2025-07-10T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Justice Zeni Zari Panggabean
