Journal History

The name Absorbent Mind is a suitable term for a children's education journal. If defined Absorbent Mind is the ability or capacity of a child from birth to about the age of six to receive and absorb information and sensations from the environment without conscious effort or discrimination. This helps them create their individuality and learn their culture and language. After this period, the child switches to a reasoning mind, which receives information through conscious work and memory.

2021: Published for a very first time in January 2021 by Program Studi Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini pada Institut Agama Islam Sunan Giri Ponorogo with ISSN: Absorbent Mind: Journal of Psychology and Child Development (E-ISSN 2798-1282) (Online).

2022: Accreditation submission; Nationally accredited by the National Journal Accreditation System (ARJUNA) managed by the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, Hope SINTA rank 3 based on SK No.  79/E/KPT/2023 dated May 11, 2023.

2023: Absorbent Mind; Journal of Psychology and Child Development has gone throughout an annals record as follows:

In connection with efforts to improve the quality of articles in Absorbent Mind; Journal of Psychology and Child Development, based on the editor's discussion with experts, we decided to make improvements to the template used.

This template is valid starting from the issue of Volume 3 Number 1 in 2023. Significant changes have been made regarding the writing of abstracts. The previous template edition of the Abstract was written in two languages, namely Indonesian and English for all full tests and in the latest template for full text, while it can still be in English or Indonesian, but for the abstract it is only written in English.
