The rapid development of digital media has significantly transformed communication patterns, particularly among Generation Z, a cohort that has grown up surrounded by internet technology and digital platforms. As digital natives, Generation Z demonstrates communication behaviors characterized by speed, interactivity, visual orientation, and network-based engagement. This article aims to examine changes in Generation Z’s communication behavior from the perspective of communication psychology through a literature review approach. The study employs library research by analyzing scholarly articles, books, and academic publications related to communication psychology, digital media, and Generation Z. The collected literature is synthesized thematically to identify emerging behavioral patterns and underlying psychological factors. The findings indicate that digital media reshapes interpersonal interaction, information exchange, self-identity formation, attention processes, and emotional regulation. While digital platforms offer opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and social participation, they also introduce challenges such as superficial communication, misinformation, and online social pressure. Consequently, strengthening digital literacy, ethical communication, and critical thinking skills is essential to foster healthy and responsible communication behavior among Generation Z.
