Abstract

Developments in the era of globalization require educational institutions to continue to develop not only in terms of technology and knowledge but also developments regarding the process of improving student achievement both in the academic and non-academic fields. The process of increasing student achievement creates problems for educational institutions caused by teachers who lack enthusiasm for learning, lack of motivation from parents and educational institutions, and low student interest in learning. So that in the process of educational institutions there are problems that make education have to determine an appropriate strategy in improving student achievement in the academic and non-academic fields. This research aims to describe the strategic steps of Slahung State Middle School 2 in realizing student achievement in academic and non-academic fields. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection uses interviews, observation, data analysis. The results of this research show that SMPN 2 Slahung's strategic steps in realizing academic and non-academic achievements include planning, implementation and evaluation steps that are well structured
