Archiving Policy

Policy Statement

The Indonesian Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance (IJIEF) is committed to the long-term digital preservation, permanent availability, and uninterrupted accessibility of all published scholarly content. To safeguard the scientific record against technical disruptions, platform migration, or unforeseen journal discontinuation, IJIEF employs a multi-layered digital archiving strategy.

Digital Archiving Networks (LOCKSS & CLOCKSS)

IJIEF utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems to ensure permanent digital preservation.
  • These systems establish a secure, distributed archiving network among participating international libraries.
  • This network allows libraries to maintain permanent archives of IJIEF content, ensuring that all published articles can be restored and accessed perpetually in the event that the journal ceases publication or experiences catastrophic system failures.

Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN)

Operating on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, IJIEF actively participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This service automatically creates decentralized digital preservation copies of every published volume, guaranteeing long-term open accessibility across global archival nodes.

Institutional & Self-Archiving Rights

IJIEF supports author self-archiving and open-access dissemination. Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the final published version (Version of Record - PDF) of their articles into:
  • University and institutional repositories;
  • Subject-specific digital archives;
  • Personal or professional academic profile pages (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, ORCID).
Note: All self-archived materials must include complete bibliographic attribution pointing to the original publication in IJIEF, along with the article’s active Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
