Journal History
The Scaffolding Journal was born from the academic anxiety of the Faculty of Tarbiyah INSURI Ponorogo, especially on the development of research in "Education." Where the study is an essential part of the University, many research results of lecturers and students have not been published electronically. Hence, their research has little impact on the development of further educational discourse.
Starting from this, the academic community within the Faculty of Tarbiyah INSURI made preparations for the Regulation of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Number 50 of 2018 concerning Amendments to the Regulation of the Minister, Technology and Higher Education Number 44 of 2015 concerning National Standards for Higher Education, which fun, especially sports, especially students who want to graduate from Bachelor and Master levels.
In early January 2019, the academic community of the INSURI Tarbiyah Faculty was responsible with the Head of the Scientific Publishing Center, Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M), to create an educational journal with an electronic scheme, following the previously released OJS; Al-Adabiya, Qalamuna, and Muharrik. The journal released was called "Scaffolding," with the subtitle Journal of Islamic Education and multiculturalism.
The name "Scaffolding" is taken from the "Scaffolding Theory" by Lev Vygotsky, a Russian psychologist known for his contributions to the theory of child development. This theory focuses on students' ability to learn information through the help of more informed individuals. Children will not succeed in learning independently without help from someone around them. With the name of the journal 'Scaffolding,' it is hoped that it can help develop a more advanced educational discourse.
Then on December 27, 2021, the Scaffolding Journal received a SINTA 3 Accreditation rating from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia through SK No. 164/E/KPT/2021.
