2023: Amalee: Indonesian Journal of Community Research and Engagement has gone throughout an annals record as follows:

In connection with efforts to improve the quality of articles in Amalee Journal: Indonesian Journal of Community Research and Engagement, based on the editor's discussion with experts, we decided to make improvements to the template used.

This template is valid starting from the issue of Volume 4 Number 1 in 2023. Significant changes have been made regarding the writing of abstracts. The previous template edition of the Abstract was written in two languages, namely Indonesian and English for all full tests and in the latest template for full text, while it can still be in English or Indonesian, but for the abstract it is only written in English.

2022: Starting from Vol 3 No 1, published biannually in April and October, and update the manuscript template to improve journal performance by paying attention to proper publishing guidelines that are followed and can be used consistently in subsequent editions.

2021: Signed cooperation with the Association of Community Engagement Journals (AJPKM - Asosiasi Jurnal PkM), based on an MoU dated February 9, 2021. 

Indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) on February 16, 2021.

Nationally accredited by the Akreditasi Jurnal Nasional (ARJUNA) system managed by the Ministry of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency, Republic of Indonesia, ranked as SINTA 3 based on SK No. 164/E/KPT/2021 dated 27 December 2021.

2020:  Published for a very first time in January 2020 by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Institut Agama Islam Sunan Giri (LP2M INSURI Ponorogo) with ISSN: 2715-7997 (Print) and 2716-0750 (Online).

The journal name, Amalee (عملي en: my action), comes from the idea that anything we do with the community should develop from and be real and actual action. Therefore, the journal editors would like to invite authors, academics, practitioners, to research the community and to engage with the community as an action.
